Every year at the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag a selection of extremely exclusive foals are sold. We come across many of these foals a few years afterwards which have become successful horses in sport and/or in breeding. Here are some we’ve picked out of the hat for you.

CUBA

Cuba one of the top stallions in Den Bosch!
At the KWPN stallion approvals, Cuba (Verdi x Ubalia ShB keur van Indoctro x Nimmerdor) owned by the combination Stenfert, Jansen and Pasman, was one of the most striking jumping horses. De longlined, noble and fantastic jumping Verdi-son, bred by mister Westerd who lives in Daarle, was appointed for the stallions performance test.
With his beautiful model, excellent movements and his outgoing jumpingtalent, Cuba was absolutely one of the top stallions during the approvals in Den Bosch.
Cuba was bought during Prinsjesdag 2007 by Jurgen Stenfert, his sponsor Albert Jansen and mister Pasman. Cuba is another example that great talents find there way through the National Foal Auction Prinsjesdag.

BUSTIQUE

The overwhelming success of Bustique is of topical interest. The son of Indoctro and brother of the international jumping crack Mustique of Yann Candele was named reserve champion in Den Bosch at the KWPN Stallion Approvals and in the KWPN Select Sale he was sold for 220,000 euros. In the performance tests Bustique displayed his enormous talent, which led him to being registered by the KWPN.

HILLTOP ROUSSEAU

In the breeding world, Hilltop Rousseau has grown to become one of the very best dressage stallion progenitors in the world. Auctioned in the 1998 Prinsjesdag auction this stallion produced three champions in a row at the KWPN: Wamberto (top performance horse in the USA), Blue Hors Zack (top performance horse in Denmark) and Ampere (top performance horse at the KWPN).
In Germany too Rousseau left his stamp: in Hannover, Fiorano and Fürst Rousseau make a solid contribution to dressage breeding with their fantastic use of hind limbs and in Oldenburg the magnificent Rousseau Noir has been licensed.
Last year, Dazzler won the reserve title at the American foal championships. The formidable movement of Rousseau’s daughter W.Esther de Jeu made her the impressive champion of the CK Gorredijk and in the CK in Tolbert, Wodora was the stunning champion.
